Da Estol Creative — Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Terms
These terms apply to bespoke sewing and made-to-measure clothing supplied by Da Estol Limited. They are designed to make the agreed design, price and responsibilities clear before production begins. Nothing in these terms affects statutory consumer rights.
- Quotation and price. The customer receives a written quotation based on the agreed design, measurements, fabric, finishing, embellishment, construction complexity and required completion date. Once accepted, it is the agreed price for the specified work.
- Customer-supplied fabric. The customer is responsible for providing sufficient fabric of suitable quality. Da Estol will take reasonable care but cannot be responsible for inherent defects, colour bleeding, shrinkage, weakness or insufficient fabric that were not reasonably apparent beforehand.
- Design approval. Before cutting begins, the customer must approve the design/reference, whether selected from Da Estol's catalogue, supplied by the customer or developed by Da Estol.
- Measurements. Customers are encouraged to be measured by Da Estol. Where measurements are supplied remotely, Da Estol will construct to those measurements and fitting work caused by inaccurate supplied measurements may be chargeable.
- Payment. The commencement deposit must clear before fabric is cut or production begins. For quotes below £500, the standard commencement deposit is 50%. For quotes of £500 or more, the standard commencement deposit is 40%, followed by 30% at the agreed construction/fitting milestone and 30% before release, unless the written quotation states a different reasonable schedule.
- Agreed price. Once accepted and production has begun, the customer cannot retrospectively reduce the agreed price. Da Estol will not arbitrarily increase an agreed fixed price. Customer-requested extra work or a clearly disclosed change in scope may be separately quoted.
- Customer design changes. Changes after approval — including sleeves, neckline, length, silhouette, embellishment, components or a substantial redesign — may incur additional charges and may move the completion date. The additional price will be confirmed before material extra work is carried out.
- Fittings and alterations. Unless the quotation states otherwise, up to two standard fitting adjustments arising from the agreed design and measurements are included. Redesigns, significant body changes, inaccurate customer-supplied measurements or alterations requested after final approval may be chargeable.
- Completion dates. Customers must attend fittings and supply decisions/materials promptly. Delays caused by missed fittings, late design changes, unavailable customer materials or delayed customer responses may move the completion date.
- Cancellation. If the customer cancels after work has begun, Da Estol may retain or charge an amount that fairly reflects work already performed, materials specifically purchased and other direct loss, subject to statutory rights. A blanket non-refundable deposit rule does not apply where consumer law requires otherwise.
- Bespoke orders and refunds. Bespoke or personalised goods may not carry the same change-of-mind cancellation rights as standard ready-to-wear goods. This does not remove rights where goods are faulty, not as described or services have not been provided with reasonable care and skill.
- Collection and final approval. Customers should inspect/try on at the final fitting or collection where reasonably possible and raise genuine workmanship or fitting concerns promptly so Da Estol can assess and, where appropriate, correct them.
- Uncollected garments. Completed garments should normally be collected within 14 days after notification unless another arrangement is agreed. Any longer-term storage arrangement or reasonable storage charge will be communicated before being applied.
- Acceptance. Payment of the commencement deposit after receipt of the written quotation and these terms confirms acceptance of the agreed design, price and terms.
- Children’s bespoke pricing: published children’s sewing prices apply to clients under 13. The child’s age must be supplied when using the automated quote. Older children/teens, unusually complex designs or adult-sized construction may require an adult-range or confirmed bespoke price before work starts.
